I thought this would be a funny way to remind people that Alex is a wizard in training after the brief chapter with Alexis. If you look at the cast page (on the main site) then you can see that he is–or will be–stated as a Level Four wizard. On Xade wizards are determined in power by levels. Dragon wizards, like Alexis, often undergo transformations upon reaching high levels. The more you learn the more powerful you become and the more your level rises. So, levels are mainly just people wanting to classify things to death.

Corruption: Dark Eyes is still here in this storyline tangent. Chapter three was simply a highlight of part of the adventure. She stayed for 5 months, so she still might cure him because I plan on him visiting Alexis. However his diabetes is a plot device, so that's highly unlikely. Rest assured though, we haven't seen the last of Dark Eyes and Robert in IoX.
