47. Boo-yakkah!

I apologize for the delay in comics….i've been striving to stick to my self-driven deadline since day one back in February, and now, at 47, finally missing one. (or two. the connect the dots one really isn't that funny.) With the video game season starting to kick up, i may be updating once a week for awhile, unless something amazing comes to mind.

meh…anyway.

I've never seen Dragonball Z (yeah. i'm that one guy.), but this comic is very obviously parodying Toriyama's style (up until where i get lazy at the end)…as well as what i've gathered of bit of DBZ and Naruto type 'i'm the best!' storylining. I did intend for there to be a little bit more, but….drawing anime in pixel format in a 165x120 window (i have a template) is a real bitch–i'm amazed it came out as well as it did.

If i ever return to Battlefist, i'm just going to draw the damn characters and beat the pixel format. I guarantee it'll be quicker, and probably funnier than this.

I don't know what my point is with this. There really isn't. I saw part of a naruto marathon on Cartoon Network all damn weekend, and it made me think of bad fansubs. Which made me think, y'know..i'm sure there's a comic in that.

So it made me laugh. Not much to it. Mandy's been trying to get me to watch 200+ episodes of Subtitled Naruto…and i'm stubborn and reluctant to get involved in being a fan of anime again. And it appeals to Luis's sense of humor and his implied suggestions that my comic needed more 'fisting.'—not exactly what he was looking for, i'm sure, but….i do what i can.

I'll have more next week. Maybe i'll be less bitter.
