The Cover to Volume One...and a Fan-Art Contest!

Here it is. (besides being an update that isn't a comic.)

Internet Superbuddies. Volume One: And The Voyage To Mars.

Six months, 50 comics, with Internet Superbonus content, printed, in one high-gloss, super-square, 180 page book. A true culmination of veritable genius and American craftsmanship.

(But you would have already known this was out if you had checked out www.bestfreakinwebsiteever.com for like, the past three weeks.)

This, to grab your attention, is the sweet, sweet cover of the book, meant to entice and titillate you for what is ahead—which is, a first ever super-sweet contest.

You may ask how much the book is. And I¢??ll tell you this fact. Lulu.com is not kind about color printing. It's more than 'd expect any of you to be willing to pay for a copy of this goddamn sprite comic. (Hell, i barely wanted to pay for it when i found out how much.)

…So what I will say, is that this is an extremely limited print run, ensuring it's value and marketable majesty. Having it would place you in an elite club of prestige, above all others, something to brag about and use to raise your own social status to a higher degree of unnecessary snobbery.

Yes. Rare Indeed. And that's why I'm giving out ONE copy. FREE to you. Signed by as many of the Internet Superbuddies as I possibly can (we may be short a Chase signature as he's two hours away these days.)

…but there's a catch. (this is the contest part.)

Internet Superbuddies wants your fan art. It can be any size, any medium, whatever. But it MUST INVOLVE ELEMENTS of Internet Superbuddies in some form. (whether it be in the form of a guest comic, something cool like the long-standing voting incentive by Dangerfunk (of Catastrophe USA. Go read it.), or whatever.) I don't care about content, as long as you guys don't mind it appearing in the still-being-assembled Volume Two and on the site. (so feel free to be mean, crude, etc. i encourage you.)

You can submit as many pieces as you like, but you can only win once. There's only one book. And to top it off, anybody named Chiizu, Awesometown, Jamezors, and Lughaidh aren't allowed to win – which means no getting jipped out by biasedness. (As I'll assume they'll be helping me judge the winner.)

There are no consolation prizes, except, your fan art will be featured on the site, and in a section upcoming here on the Drunkduck site, cleverly named "Fan-Art."

I'll front the production costs and the shipping of this goddamn expensive monstrosity if you guys provide the content. And what's best, is yes, previously submitted Fan-Art will be grandfathered into account, and we counting it for the vote.

I'm going to say that this contest is on until December 1st, giving you guys a little bit of time to prepare and work, and hopefully securing the book for a near-christmas ship.

Good luck to everybody. I hope this has a decent turnout, and i'm anxious to see everybody's work.

(LAST MINUTE EDIT–and incidentally…if anyone wishes to purchase a copy of the book ANYWAY….there's a link to it here. http://www.lulu.com/content/1346674)
