And wouldn't you know the vial breaks?  The table fell over while choegraphing the scene so ti made sense.  Also it explains why Hussein doesn't just inject the vaccine while the alien gloats.  But at least she is grateful for all the crew have done for her.  Gratitude is such a rare quality.

And Neela happens to get her bra torn off.  She wore the lace one and it gets torn so easily when mutated monsters grab at it.
