This was meant to be headers for two longer stories that were never written.
The upper texts, with some untranslatable puns mean that the library should target the old and the sick, as in people who need extra help, but compares this with predators targeting the old and the sick, hence Mrs Melin with her gun-thing.
See, as I mentioned earlier but none of you read, I was inspired by the webcomic Kevin & Kell. And in it, the animals behaved sort of like real animals: all animals are sapient, so as a predator, you have to hunt your neighbors… and it is legal. Well, it is more complex than that, but in the first version of my comic, it was similar. Mia has problems because her three colleagues were all animals that hunt and eat mice (though not at work.)
When I restarted the comic, I found that idea untenable. I will return some time how the thing works, but no one needs to hunt any sapient prey.

Oh, and the lower text is a bad joke about conspiracy theorist Mr Beaver and the books he always wants - that claims humans are real! That idea I kept, however…
