What follows is an incomplete story of about 8 pages. I was working on this story while creating The Necropolis Chronicles at the same time. NC started off from this story because I was drawing about pissy girls from a private school to harrass the Minutemen. I developed several personalites for some many characters that they couldn't just be some spot or occassional villains. Sable was the most vividly developed girl and I used her as the main villain of this story. Laurel from NC was a retooled old character. Thea of NC came later on. Since the characters ended up in different comic book 'universes' I scrapped this issue entirely from the Minutemen mythos.

The main character of The Necropolis Chronicles, Jaina, was originally going to be set in the Minutemen 'world'. She was going to met the Minutemen and become allies. The first story of NC is more super-hero than horror. Only in issue 2 of NC do I start to really form that it's a paranormal horror comic as I tried to re-invent the demons in it from super villains to demons.

When I draw stories of my own scripts I skip around the story drawing various pages. There are a lot of reasons for that. Some reasons are that I see a photo and just have to draw it or I have a scene totally designed in my head. Other times it's because the page will be easy like only 2 or 3 panels without much background. And sometimes it's just that I really want to draw a scene I've written rather than work my way to it if it's deep in the story.

After I post the following pages, I pretty much have dried up my stock on drawn Minutemen stories. I have some minor things hanging around like single pages representing 1 page of a 24 page story that I may post but realistically the strip is going on hiatus after this posting. Now, about this cover: The lettering for the title got skewered. My Photoshop didn't have the font I had originally used in my Illustrator so Photoshop just outright butchered it. And while I like the grayscales of the pic and Holly's costume boot, what Martin is doing is really rather unclear. :( He's supposed to be picking up ripped clothes that he has found in the alley. I was thinking along the lines were Brett found the first skin of the alien in the original Alien movie from 1979.
