Hey, welcome to Jump! Jump is not only a simple sports/life type story, it's also a testament to the wonder that is 24-hour comic book day! (That's why it's still in pencil, and I've preserved some errors, like continuity errors and grammar errors.) I totally recommend everyone do it! It is so fun! It's a great way to be artistic, meet some awesome nerds, and actually complete something.
I came to this comic with paper, pencils, sharpies, Sakura pens (though I timed out how long it would take me to draw a page, and I couldn't ink the pages and stay under an hour, so you'll have to put up with the pencil. Sorry!)and a ruler. According to the ad in the newspaper, we're not supposed to have a script, character designs, or anything like that, though references are ok. I had no references that I used.
This is the first page of the night. I didn't put the words until later, when I had a better idea of where the comic was headed thematically. You see those pants? Those are awesome pants. I want them.

Oh, and did I mention my birthday was the 19th? XD
Even though Wikipedia disagrees with me, the 18th was a Friday and the 19th was a Saturday. By this point, I'd already been to school, and I'd been awake for probably ten hours.
