I wrote this one to be an 8 panel strip where Lauren and Jix walk out the back of the ship. Got it drawn, hated the punchline and couldn't get it rewritten, but I liked the image of the two standing on the space dock, so I wrote a separate one.

Kinda wondering if Jix's line is a bit much. Whaddya think?

If it seems Jix is kind of crabby this arc, that's because she is. She feels responsible for getting Lauren into this (especially her personality. The other two had nothing to do with it) and she wants Lauren to take it seriously because she wants her to win…mostly so she doesn't lose her friend, but also because she would be guilt stricken with the fact that she was the one that would've been the cause of Lauren getting imprisoned or executed.
