That's not to say that the other Lauren WILL marry her Paul and have a baby, but because this Lauren did and will, there's a strong chance for it. Much like how there's now a strong chance that this Remula's father, Aratrix will demand she gets married. Doesn't mean it will happen, but the chance is stronger now that it's happened in that universe and probably some others, too.

Of course, Lauren going to college is more inspired, but that universe's Lauren being in college does have that butterfly effect on this Lauren going to college.
