I do realize this comic takes place in a random part of the arc, but I guess I did it to show that The Ambis didn't do his/her scheme the same night she met the cop. So there is that.

And Lauren has a very very very minor role towards the end of the arc, so I guess I also did it to introduce the fact that she's acknowledged that Jix's superhero personality is back.
