The Captain and his daughter are from the same country that Maricax is from, but they speak Ambis Common better than he does. Maybe they have a better language downloader or something, I don't know.
All of the countries on the Ambis Homeworld are part of the invasion and the Ambis Empire, but we see Remula's breed more because…well…the comic's about Remula's other personality.
