So…originally the doctor was a male with both arms, but somehow he ended up being a female doctor with an amputated arm, but it served the script pretty well.
This is a third race, type, breed, or species or whatever of Ambis. Erin's Ambis form (from the Panelist arc in Dragon City) is half this and half what Jix is. The biggest difference being the stripes and this specific kind of ear, which Erin didn't have.
