Androids don't get quite the same treatment as Ambis, but a lot of the ones that become obsolete get their AIs recycled into a blank shell, especially if they're owned personally (much like Dyonus and Dyona were). This isn't Dyona, though. Dyona's personality came with the body we first saw her in.

Androids are also sold into labor where they can be troopers or miners on hazardous planets. Unless an android is just really messed up, they don't completely get rid of them. Part of it is that new AIs are hard to program and another is morality reasons. Ambis aren't that immoral that they would just destroy a bunch of androids when they get to be obsolete.


Also, I'm going out of town next week, so no new Jix next week. Jix will return April 6th.
