So here's what's been going on: (you don't actually have to read this whole rant, there's not going to be a test or anything)

As far as I can see, webcomics in general aren't working. They do provide great art and entertainment value for free to those of us who enjoy reading them, but like so much in internet culture the infrastructure that has grown around them isn't conducive to damn near anything, and lately it seems like anyone trying to make a serious enterprise of the thing is screwed. The few people who've managed to be vaguely successful at it all seem to have no idea what they did and many are increasingly condescending about the whole idea that you might expect to be able to make a living doing something you're actually good at and spend all your time doing.

Basically what I'm saying is I'm fucking sick of all this crap. But I still want to make my comic because at the end of the day I really like my comic and am really proud of it and I really want to bring more of it into the world. But the way I was doing it was counterintuitive to my idea of it, and if I never expect to make money or get an audience or anything then I'm going to start doing it in a way that makes sense ONLY TO ME.

The main change is that I can't stand page-at-a-time updates. Not as a reader or as a creator. This isn't a comic strip. It's a comic book, it's just a digital comic book. It's supposed to be read as one whole issue-at-a-time. Now I could keep updating it the way I have been and just expect people who think the way I do about it to just wait until a whole issue is available, but fuck that shit. My goal is that starting with the next one, the whole issue will be made available at once. I may still post each page here individually, or not, depending on how I feel when I get around to making the next issue. Regular updates for the time being are going out the window, as I don't have the time for them, but I want to finish this issue as quickly as possible, hopefully this week while I have the time and the gumption.

Okay, that got out of hand, I just keep reading bitchy things webcomic people post on Twitter and it's been pissing me off. Enjoy my comics, folks, I'm going to keep doing them until somebody stops me.
