Must've been a very large sum. Weren't the days before caller ID magical?
I have a feeling this isn't the last time Otto's going to hear whatever that offer was.
I
chose my dialogue and expressions carefully so that I wouldn't have to
resort to the unrealistic cliche of having Otto repeat everything the
person on the other line is saying. I guess I could've drawn a speech
balloon coming out of the phone so you could actually "hear" what's
being said as an alternate to this, but I think the mystery of the
person on the other line is better this way.
Drawing the expressions was fun. We go from irritation, to surprise, to incredulousness, to sarcasm.
