The best way to protect our oceans is to recycle and dispose of waste responsibly. If it can be eaten by wildlife or can cause harm to wildlife try not to let it get into the environment in the first place. Balloons and plastic bags are problematic to turtles as to them it looks like their food source so they eats them and it blocks their digestive tracks.
