Page 8: issue 1 - Astronomy Domine

When I created this page, I wanted to show worlds where it was obvious how history changed.
 
The Iwo Jima picture was the easiest of the altered one to change, as all I had to do was alter the flag, really (though I think it might be wrong, as I seem to recall seeing depictions of a sun with rays on their flag for the time–but it's an alternate universe, so I have a flimsy excuse).
 
Hitler in the White House took the most time, as I had to take the original person out of the picture and insert Hitler into it.  The red tone is because the two photos contrasted too much when in black and white, but I like it, because it looks so ominous.
 
As for JFK shaking the creature's hand, it's quite obvious the photo I altered.  It was hued yellow because I'd already done the red tone on Hitler and realized a fully black and white picture would look out of place.
 
And the third picture was going to utilize photos, as well, putting the White House in the center, with the Great Pyramid, Leaning Tower of Pisa and probably the Dome of the Rock behind it, but it would have taken too much time.  However, since the L. Frank Baum Oz stories are in the public domain, as is the original artwork for those books, I thought it would be a better choice, especially since I already wanted to establish an Oz reality in my multiverse.
