I'm really committing to get Karabear Comics Presents #1 out this year.  It was supposed to be in January, but artists kept getting flakey.  I have one who is better at committing, but I still haven't heard from a different one for over a year that said she'd do it.  Not to mention I have had artists for scripts that, after I have checked up a few times, might finally be working on concept sketches after months and then drop contact altogether.  It's frustrating, and I would prefer people tell me when they can't finish their commitment.  I understand that things come up, but it just seems completely disrespectful to just stop talking to me.

If somebody wants to do art for my comics, I would ask specifically that you inform me when things come up that either will delay your progress or cause you to have to back out.  As well, at the moment I really also need to know how fast an artist thinks they can finish a page or issue, because I want to get some quick turnaround.  Last year I had expected 6 months to be reasonable, but the fact that nothing has been completed from when I started asking for artists last year, I do wonder if that's a reasonable goal.

Okay, that's a bit of a frustrated rant.  It's just that I hate when I keep hitting a wall with things.  If my art were better, I know I would do some of my print-only stuff, but I still wouldn't be able to do it all.  As you can see above, I'm trying for more than one storyline, and I'm trying to get a broader expanse of work done.  I want to work with people who both appreciate my writing and are fine with superheroes and LGBT issues.
