I'm putting together a crossover project for next year that will run through multiple comics and hopefully benefit the Hero Initiative.  If you're interested in participating, e-mail me at karamesser@hotmail.com or PQ me on this site.

Top page: It could sound like a contrivance that so few people are around, but I would say they're all off at a good summer hot spot (the beach, the pool, etc.).  In fact that beach at the beginning was supposed to be much more crowded.  I just never can draw very many people in one picture.  I'm kind of like the opposite of George Perez, then (as in, I suck at art and struggle to draw one person, let alone gobs).  But I can get the Runner into the action this way.

Bottom page: Speaking of my inability to draw very many at once, I had imagined this entire encounter to be teeming with Gangers, and Tempore was legitimately threatened because of sheer number and the fact that some might have the power to challenge him.  But my artistic challenges changed it to three Gangers, with a different outcome (though relatively similar).  He doesn't like to use his full burst and only threatened to use it on the Editor and company because of the Editor's power.  Here, he has no illusions that these three could block a mild attack and basically swats them off after being shown that these three, together, could be more annoying than normal.
But I drew the dog's nose right this time.  Why did I draw it so weird last page?  It's not like I've never been around dogs–I know their noses look like that.  But I also realize that this page makes three I've done where somebody gets bitten on the forearm, and twice with Tempore.  That's an… odd storytelling quirk I've seemed to have developed.  Maybe it'll just be coincidence.
