I'm actually touching on Masticator's power source here.  Still, I already mentioned it before (in issue 4), though it's probably easy to forget.  He's a nasty customer.  I keep thinking that I should have Fractal face him again, but he's such a nice shadow of Astral.
 
That last panel was referenced from another drawing, which is why it looks so much better.  Specifically, I had a picture of the cover to Indestructible Hulk #1 (drawn by Leinil Yu, I believe) in front of me.  Since Sparkle has Hulk-like powers, he's a good reference (not the face, though, since Hulk is much more beast-like in the face).
