First off, Kudos to BlkKnight for thinking that the shooter wasn't really aiming at Karen. I tried to make it a cliffhanger for while i was gone, but you saw right through that.
Next, am I ever glad to be back. We got snowed out of the Sequoias, the tent froze absolutely solid at Yosemite (seriously, you could knock on the tent side like it was a piece of wood), The snow broke our windshield wipers, we played car bowling on the I-230 going past Crater Lake National Park where it was snowing so bad it was practically a white-out condition, and in San Fransisco we saw a guy wearing nothing but a pair of shorts and a trash bag get arrested for trying to break into cars at a rest stop while we were trying to get some sleep. Whew. It was quite a road trip, and I am just so happy to be back in sunny beautiful (snow free) San Diego!
I would like to give a giant shout out thank you to all the big rig truck drivers out there. We only made it through the I-230 without getting stuck because of the kindness of a driver who let us follow him for a little bit while he used his rig almost like a snow plow to clear the road.
And on to Karen. Thank you all my wonderful readers, old and new, for sticking around while I was on vacation. Thank you for reading Karen the Marilith, and please feel free to leave comments.
