[142] The Three AR's

Because I am my own world's biggest critic, I have not been too happy with the pages I've been turning out as of late. Digital paint looks cleaner and neater, but it lost all its original feel and personality for me.

Last night I started sketching on the panels again and I started to like what I was producing that I am revamping my comics from strip 138 to the present with a BRAND NEW STYLE. So be sure to check back for updates since I put in little plugs for fern's 1/3 comic in a few of them.

Thank you everyone for the comments! I have to admit that myxo's style in LAX: Light Motion Dreams was the biggest spark of inspiration for this turn to the new style. LAX is a wonderful webcomic and I admit to having read through the entire archive (at least) three times.

One of the messages I'm trying to get out in future comics is that the world is not pristine and perfect. The little imperfections in life come together to form a whole picture. I had such a hard time working with the newer medium because by making everything so flat and one color, I felt like I was doing a disservice in getting my original ideas across.

Pei^2 - The gamer guy, coworker and all the rest were shipped off in a box for an indefinite amount of time. Also, these people are not super hot men, per se, they're more… the kinds of guys you meet when you're just being yourself.

fern - Thank you so much for being so supportive about my webcomic! I really like the flexibility drunkduck gives our comics so we're not restricted to one medium or storyline. And I really like how you change the the medium in TW. Ergh! And thanks to the last page, I started listening to my Garden State soundtrack from 2005 because the Shins are on it and I feel like a first year again!!!!
Mandy - the real life Bunny Mochi always wants a hug so I make sure to give him one a day or else scratch him under his chin.
Myxo - It was probably stream of conscious because I was working on those strips before I fell asleep last night. That comment means so much to me ever since you are one of the key inspirations for my most recent art style.
