Royce Hall seems perfectly symmetrical at first glance. However, upon further inspection, it becomes apparent that it is filled with imperfections and asymmetries. The architects who designed Royce believed "humans could never achieve perfection, only God could" and created this building filled with imperfections.

Imagine my task when I had to make a perfectly calculated drawing of something that was not perfect!

I pass by this building every day as a reminder that the goal of perfection is a dream but not reality. The little discrepancies and differences are what truly make us human.

Royce Hall is modeled after Milan's Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio.

PS I still am not using a ruler.
