I spent a little more time than I normally would on today's page. I decided that if I'm going to see any improvement then I should carefully compose these pages instead of rush through them. There isn't a lot of text in this one, but I feel that the first couple of panels speak for themselves.

Here is the rough sketch I made while I was waiting in a lounge.

(I normally don't predraw full paged strips before I do them. But I am beginning to learn that a little preplanning goes a long way.)

I live in a high rise that has a great view of the freeway just outside my window. The streets are completely deserted when I go to the kitchen from 2 AM - 4 AM in the morning. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to get on the road at that time while I sip my glass of hot water.

So anyway, the back story of today's update is that a while ago, Myxo asked me if I had heard of the Tokyo Extreme Racer series because it played similarly to Wangan Midnight. I hadn't, but the next time I was in a game store, I picked up a copy and I'm glad I did! The game play really is similar even though it mainly focuses on Hakone and the other mountainous tracks. But I really the wide selection of cars and brands that I get to drive. Oh, and in case anyone was wondering - Yes, I did play the game to get this screenshot instead of finding some image online.

I have been having WMMT3 withdrawals ever since I began listening to their original soundtrack on my iPod. I really wish people played Wangan over here. I was almost tempted to buy a car wheel because it would be a whole lot cooler than driving with a controller.
