I found myself in my first unlucky taxi excursion last night. The driver insisted he take the longest route to my house that had the most stop lights. So instead of allowing his meter to continue counting minutes, I paid him the fare and exited the car while we were stopped at the last red light and walked the rest of the way to my house.

The driver must have been so confused.
