Today’s strip, as well as the rest of this week, are a very special almost crossover with a comic strip that never was.

Samantha Revin is a character I had planned to use in another comic strip with the working title “Glass Chess Set.” As intimated above, Sam was a childhood friend of Alan’s. The two had lost track of one another, and lived drastically different lives. She’d moved away and started her grown up life, only to find herself right back where she started two short years later. GCS was a little more serious, a little darker, and would let me tell the stories that don’t fit in Keyguard. With the two strips taking place in the same city, there would of course be some crossover. Tom was to be featured prominently, and Mike would show up on occasion.

Someday I hope to get to work on GCS. I’d love to do both strips concurrently, but I don’t know if I have the time and energy. So I had to make the choice and, for now at least, Keyguard is my priority.
