A viesk is basically a Niberian psychic. The exact extent of their powers varies from person to person, but the abilities of a viesk generally ranged from telepathy to telekinesis to the ability to predict the future. Viesks also have the ability to detect the presence of other kimeral with magical abilities. Only kimeral with Niberian blood can be Viesks.
in the Niberian language, "Viesk" means "Noble Child". Viesks are said to be direct descendants of Vidan, Kimeral's only son.
Even though it's common for any Niberian to have magical abilities, non-Niberian kimeral who can use magic are extremely rare. In most cases these kimeral, regardless of their social status at birth, are adopted into rich families and given a much better education than most kimeral. There is a school especially for magic users located in Loemshel, sponsored by the royal family.
oh, and it's impossible for a human to use magic, even if one of their parents is a kimeral.
