Kloteck Omen p.9
kahvie onFreakin' finally! Five days straight, I thought I'd never get this done! Icy Hot patch is my friend right now.
Well, as I said in a thread over at the KO board, I wasn't satisifed with the current shading in the comic. While I liked the "painted" idea behind it, it had a tendancy to make the characters blend into the background, and gave them a rubbery look…simply put, I hated it and wanted to try something else. After playing around with a couple of things, I ended up trying the cell look, and like how it turned out. Thus, I used it in this page. Hopefully it eliminates the "character blending" problem. Only problem is it takes a long time to color in as opposed to the last shading style, but it's worth it.
I have to admit I Googled a few rain images as well as watched this weekend's rain out my window for this one. Rain is hard:C. The rain on the characters was fun to do though, even if I had to paint it by hand (still can't figure out that dang lasso tool).
