Thanks for responding to the poll, everyone =) I experimented with the new style, but it seems it doesn't take much less time than the one I'm doing now. I think what I'll do instead is not hover too much over background details – I'll go back and fix them at a later time.
On the Tumblr I mentioned that I've now set a hard number for how much animation I do for this project based on the total number of watchers across all sites this is posted on. I will be making an animated trailer regardless of how many people are watching. For every 100 watchers, I will animate another short scene. If the total ever reaches 1000, the whole project will be animated.
