In the middle of Episode 8, I began doing Profile Updates on Saturdays, because doing a comic 5 days a week simply wasn't good enough. Also, I didn't have enough foresight to flesh out any supporting and minor characters enough in-story, so I look at this as a way to divulge some backstory on less-important characters without cramming them unnecessarily into new storylines.

Besides, some people just like learning more about someone who might be their favorite character! (I've not found anyone who's favorite character is Mr Rat A. Touille, though…)
