Oh, hello there! I'm Poinko, the writer and artist behind Lancaster the Ghost Detective. I'm so happy the comic has received such a good reception here on DrunkDuck, because there's nothing I like more than sharing my work with new folks like yourself.

I've taken a break from doing Lancaster between Episode 8 and Episode 9, since I'm going to school, work, and doing comics for print alongside Lancaster, so I needed to take a while and re-prioritize to get everything in order. My (admittedly) long hiatus is nearly at an end though, and as the page above states, the comic will return in full force starting on August 20th.

If you've been through the archives you already know that Episode 9 is going to be the final Episode in the series. I chose this for several reasons: 1) I want Lancaster to have a definitive ending. I don't want to run out the series too long, run out of ideas and beat a dead horse. 2) To free up time to work on some other comics projects (coming in October!) and 3) There is no 3.

Don't worry, there won't be any half-assed 'draw your own conclusion' endings here. Closure is the name of my game here, and I'm going to work extra hard to make sure the ending is satisfying for everyone. And I've worked just as hard to make sure the episode itself is action-packed and full of rich, meaty story to sink your teeth into.

So I hope you'll join us here on Monday when Episode 9 begins with a full week of color pages, and back to our regular 5-day a week updating schedule after that. Now, what other story-based comic can promise that, eh?

(Note: Please do not mention any other story-based webcomics that update 5 or more days a week, as the author has a laughably fragile ego.)
