Speed Racer

I have only two animes that I've seen that I truly love. One is Rurouni Kenshin and the other is Speed Racer. In fact, I grew up with Speed Racer as a part of my normal Saturday morning diet along with Tom and Jerry, the Looney Tunes and a bowl of something like Lucky Charms. ( Explains quite a bit about me doesn't it? ) Every Saturday it was an hour of Looney toons followed by a half hour of Tom and Jerry and then at the very end a single episode of Speed Racer. I'd spend the whole two hours hopped up on sugary cereal. My parents absolutely LOVED Saturdays. Those were the days I learned the basics of swearing.

But all that aside I have absolutely no intentions of watching the Speed Racer movie. After what the Wachowski brothers did to V for Vendetta I don't think I could handle watching another one of my favorite books or shows being butchered like that. I can only hope they don't attempt to turn Rurouni Kenshin into a live action film.
