Putting out your fires

Loc is a responsible sort of guy. He doesn't just let the bodies pile up and start stinking in the compost. And on top of that he follows good procedure and makes sure the fire is out before he leaves. Now if the whole killing people things could just be worked on, he'd be a model citizen.

I once long ago was involved with the boy scouts. And the same as every other part of life for me it was a bit odd. While other troops were learning how to make lanyards, we were learning how to make emergency casts from available materials ( And those casts came to be very helpful, while I don't think there was ever once a reason to use a lanyard. ). Mine was the sort of group of guys for whom logic did not exactly apply. If you wanted to cut a tree in half for the fire, you didn't use a saw, you just dragged it on top of the fire and let the thing go. I can remember one particular story in which we had one young gentleman. This kid had very severe ADHD and a real pyromaniac streak. On one camping trip, he decided to cover a rock approximately 10 by 15 feet in the middle of a river in wood and set it on fire. Unfortunately he neglected to think about how hot or long such a fire would burn. By the time the fire was extinguished later that day, the rock had cracked in half and slid into the river.

Common sense has never been a factor in my world, and so I'm really not sure how such a idea as making sure your fire is out would ever really apply, but nonetheless. Anyway, before I get too off topic with old anecdotes, that's the comic. I hope you guys enjoyed and tune in tomorrow. I promise I'll have cookies ( For me at least. ).
