While flipping through channels on one of the rare occasions I actually turn on the tv, I happened to stumble across the Looney Tunes. It's been several years since I last saw them on, and not for lack of looking. It seems to me that the quality of modern popular animation just isn't as good as those older shows like the Looney Tunes or Speed Racer that I grew up with. I don't really think you can argue that the Fairly Oddparents, while somewhat humorous, has the same level of detail or attention put into it's backgrounds or overall art. Maybe it's just me, but the generation after mine just doesn't seem to appreciate the old cartoons as much. I honestly don't know why that would be since it's not exactly as though the idea of Foghorn Leghorn hitting a dog with a baseball bat is material meant for a specific era, yet that seems to be how it's treated. So, I was quite excited when I found them on late night tv. As a result, I decided I wanted to do a little bit of my own homage to the gentlemen who created all the cartoons that kept me from giving my parents premature gray hair when I was younger.

And now I'm going to go yell at those damn kids who are playing their car stereos too loud across the street because it's after 9 p.m. and I have a bedtime.
