Giant frikkin' robots!

Once in a while I have something that just pops into my head and annoys the crap out of me until I draw it and share it. This is one of those things. So, I did exactly that if for no other reason to get it to shut up. And now that I've done it, it makes me want to do something more with it. Possibly a painting or something ( If I ever actually get around to such things. ).

For all intensive purposes, today was definitely one of those days to get such ideas out and learn new things. Not only did I end up finding a weekly figure drawing class to take part in ( Naked people and drawing is pretty self-explanatory.), I got to witness someone making the biggest blunder involving a semi-professional humorist that is humanly possible. Namely; somebody tried to teach me how to weld. I have to say, that anyone who can put a Mig welder into the hands of a cartoonist and expect something good to come of it is either A: incredibly naive and optimistic or B: incredibly stupid or C: expecting chaos and doing it for entertainment purposes. I'm pretty sure that their reason falls under category C, because about ten seconds into things I had already managed to burn my hand with a hot piece of metal, and weld the welding gun to itself ( Which turns out to be a lot easier than you'd think. ). From there it got more interesting as I managed to set several pieces of plastic on fire and leave scorch marks all over the work bench. However, I can report that other than the couple of fingers I burned, there were no major fatalities ( They want me to go back tomorrow and do it again. Somehow, I don't think the management has seen the results of my work yet. ). But given my rate of progress from the beginning of the day with burning myself and setting things ablaze, to the end when I finally managed to actually weld something, I'm thinking that while I might not be the most mechanically inclined person, in a couple of weeks I could be able to make my very own giant rabbit robot, just like that little ninja bunny there.

But first, I think I'll start small, with figuring out how to get the burn cream open.
