This is the first Latchkey strip, originally published February 10th 2010.

Latchkey was an idea I'd had kicking around in my head for quite a while, but I was having trouble with the characters and, more importantly, a starting point.

Then one day while I was walking through the Downs I saw a wooden sign affixed to the fence of a lambing field, bearing the hand-written warning that "dogs worrying sheep could be shot". By the time I got home I had the first clutch of strips written out in my head.
