Wolfshead
Legend Comics onHere's Wolfshead as mentioned last week. I was watching the BBC Robin of Sherwood series (1985) on DVD and thinking, "I so need a bow and arrow guy!" I mean, Green Arrow is obviously a Robin Hood rip off and Hawkeye is a Green Arrow rip off so it's obvious by logic that I need one too. I chose the name because it sounds cool and that's what the Sherif and Sir Guy are always calling Robin. Wolfshead is an independent superhero/vigilante who robs from the rich to give to the poor… and himself. Hey, guy's gotta make a living, am I right?
You know, I was thinking, Robin Hood (the original) was a superhero in his own time. He was even given a recognizable costume (in tights no less) and a team though that all came later. Superheroes have been with us for some time. Look at Heracles (Hercules for you Romans). He even had super powers. History is littered with superheroes some with and some without superpowers. The point is, superheroes are not a new thing, nor are they an invention of the comic genre. We just have a new style and medium in which to portray them.
I have a forum. Included is a brakedown of the Urban Legends concept that you won't find here. I also have a full colour banner with all ten of the Urban Legends in it. Give me your opinions, critisisms and ideas.
