What's ironic about this is that "Dancing in the Dark" might be Bruce's most pop song. He wrote it one night when the record company told him he needed a more radio-friendly song on his album "Born in the U.S.A." (which had a few other huge hits, anyway). The video, in which Bruce pulled a pre-Friends Courtney Cox on stage to dance with him, is a great example of unintentional hilarity. Bruce just doesn't know what to do with himself on stage when you take his guitar away.
