Here's a scary thought. This is the first time Verwaand has been seen in the story proper since October of 2008! He was in the 2008 Advent Calendar after that, but that whole story broke down the fourth wall. He was also seen in the future timeline visited by Ronald. Despite his long absence, I just picked up where I left off, since all the events of the comic have taken place thus far over a short period of time.
