Okay, I'm back from vacation, literally. I've been in Florida, and I'm missing the palm trees and warmth already.

I've kept you hanging long enough regarding the identity of the vortex. There were some good guesses, but no one got it exact. The vortex was a colorful umbrella, being spun around for about an hour by my very patient girlfriend as I photographed the ships over it. And that was her mouth preparing to chow down on Tannen's ship, too. Love her!
