Smackatar (Part 17)

Years ago, I somehow got called into the WWE for a job interview to be on the writing staff. I did so well during the first interview that I was one of only a few candidates called back for a second interview. I was directed to their TV production facility, which had a gate, a guard and looked like a prison building. Outside of it sat a really foxy sports car. As I sat in the lobby waiting to be called in, a door swung open and I expected to see the HR person that was to meet me. But my eyes went big as I instead saw Vince McMahon, owner of the company. Vince, an imposing figure in many ways (especially on camera), looked over at me, smiled, nodded and offered a polite hello. Speechless, I just nodded back. He then walked past the receptionist, politely bid her a good day and walked outside to what I presume was his sports car. I went on to meet with the head writer of RAW, bomb the interview in every imaginable way and never hear back, but my brief encounter with Vince was worth the trip from New Jersey to Connecticut.
