The Search (Part 8)

I recently wrote another list for Topless Robot called “The Greatest LEGO Collectible Minifigures”
but I have to warn you that it didn’t go over that well. One reason is
that I grouped some of the more similar minifigures that I wanted to
include together as individual entries, intending them to be equal. But
the editor counted them separately, resulting in the #1 best figure
being one I didn’t intend it to be. It just happened to be the last one I
wrote about in the group of figures that I thought was the best. The
other reason I think the list got panned a bit is because there are so
many great Collectible LEGO Minifigures and everyone has their
favorites, which aren’t necessarily the same as mine. It still never
fails to surprise me how seemingly offended some people get
that a given list is different than how they would have written it.
Although I did make one of my most epic typos by referring to UFO
abductees Betty and Barney Hill as “BENNY and Barney Hill.” :-0 Yes,
alien abduction-British comedy mash-up!
