Oh, and there is no background. I understand that it's not reinvent, but it's feeding the fourth wall thing by subtracting context. Big no-no.
Just stop with the fourth wall humor before you start, scratch the author character, and get some BG's.

The name is original. Past that, it's ridden with cliches.
"omg we're in another sprite comic" has been done to death. As well as the whole "author insertion" bit.
The originality is left at the door. The title, that's it. The fourth wall humor is bland, and it's giving off a huge sense of Deja Vu.
