The next day, we went to go look at a Mayan cave, near the border of Belize and Guatemala. We walked for a long time in the jungle to get to the cave. When we got there, we were in for a horrible surprise. There was a nest of African killer bees over the cave mouth. Some of us had got in, before the bees swarmed. But I, like a few others, were just going in, when the bees attacked us and sting some of us. After that there was a lot of running done. Luckly it was raining slightly, so the bees couldn't follow our scent as well. I and a few others had to run down a steep hill and over 'break ankle alley', which was a valley of wet mossy rocks. We were lucky too, that no one fell and got really hurt, when we ran through. Those who had made it into the cave stayed there to look at the Mayan artifacts, to try and wait out the bees. The rest of us, including myself, just went back to the hotel to take care of our stings and swim in the pool (and drink at the bar).
