mythology 101..
Hades in myth was the brother of zeus. when the god drew lots for realms to rule. Zeus got the sky, Poseidon got the seas, and Hades received the underworld, not becuse he was evil. That is just how the cards fell… .. briggy is jame's granchild as is her brother which is why we are here..
to answer rons Q:
Elysian where we are now predates heaven .. (contrast the Christian Paradise or Heaven in many ways), but i think in heaven they have more things that break.. the gate come to mind.. both the good and the bad fall under hades control.
