Every character shown here is onboard a ship right now, in the middle of the ocean. Because the scenes shown so far are flashbacks, with a lot of dialogue to cover in a short amount of time, I didn't have much space for backgrounds. But these situations will be shown in more detail as the story progresses, so for now, bear with me.

Umberto (the yellow-haired human with the mask) has the power to control stone and earth. At the end of this page, he shoves a pillar of stone right through Pulse's stomach, severely wounding Pulse and sending him off the ship into the ocean.
