Naturally, Liz falls, because she's unaccustomed to climbing sheer cliffs.

Naturally, Pulse grabs the flower for her and jumps down to save her, because that's what he does; leap into dangerous situations in order to save people, without pausing to consider how, exactly, he'll go about doing it. Fortunatelly, as is often the case with main characters, he has his arsenal of (as of yet untapped) hidden abilities to rely on.

For example, he used his superspeed to reach the top of that cliff in time. Of course, he'll be pretty confused about that afterwards.
