Leroy Cadmus comes to play, and he didn't like having his face scarred.

Though Pulse wasn't himself when he attacked Liz, she of course can't see him as anything more than a monster now, and indeed, should he believe otherwise? He has three different forms, two of them violent, none of them under his control (for the moment). It's quite a problem.
