Rune, in spite of his evident episodes of temper, is a bit of a free spirit, and has no respect for authority. Because of this, it is difficult to know where his loyalties lie, which is why Umberto is so distrustful of him, and why Chaff is always so cross with him.

On a side note, Rune's abilities involve shapeshifting, but he always retains the same bodily colors as in his original form, and his eyes glow red. He can alter his mass and gender without a problem, though.
