After six months of experimenting with Photoshop's inking tools, learning every trick and every shortcut in the book, I may be forced to admit that the fastest and most attractive method of inking utilizes Flash rather than Photoshop. Ironically, I'd already used Flash for the inking of Lifeblood's first few issues, and, upon a recent experimentation, I found myself falling in love with it all over again.

Obviously it has shortcomings, in that Flash is not made for inking, and that the vector lines will act largely of their own accord, but the speed and quality it turns out simply cannot be argued with. I can't duplicate them with Photoshop or even Illustrator. Add these lines to my amassed CG and speech bubble knowledge in PS, and you have a winning formula.

'Course, tomorrow I might come up with something completely different, but this looks pretty darn good for the time being. And in any case, I was beginning to feel dissatisfied with rough sketch lines. =)
